This position has arisen as a result of the retirement of a longstanding member of staff, and as such, you will be inherit a loyal portfolio of corporate clients.
This organisation’s Reading office is performing tremendously; achieving consistent annual growth, and having recently enjoyed a record year. The branch specialises in ‘mid to large’ UK and global risks, with clients generating typical fees in the region of £50K-£60K. Catering for a diverse range of industry sectors, including but not limited to, Manufacturing, Retail, Property Owners, Tech’ and the Professions, you’ll enjoy dealing with a fascinating portfolio encompassing some extremely interesting insurance programmes.

Upon joining the business, you will inherit a book comprising between 12–15 large accounts. Because of this, you will have the opportunity to build very strong relationships with your clients, together with a deep understanding of their business activities and insurance requirements. The make-up of your portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills, experience and ambitions, and you will be able to draw upon specialist expertise from various divisions within the company, in order to deliver the world-leading, comprehensive service that this broker is renowned for. As company ambassador, you’ll oversee and negotiate renewals, help arrange sophisticated insurance solutions to cater for your clients’ evolving needs, and identify ways in which to develop and nurture existing relationships.
In terms of experience, we are open to Account Executives from either a Corporate or Commercial broking environment, although as a minimum, you must have previous experience of dealing with some sizeable commercial insurance accounts. Crucially, you’ll be passionate about being a true ‘risk adviser’, and genuinely interested in tailoring truly bespoke insurance solutions for your clients. Just as importantly, it’s essential that you are capable of liaising effectively with senior members at board level, and that you have polished communication and presentation skills.
