Comprising colossuses of the US Stock Market and FTSE100’s, very seldomly do chances to inherit such complex portfolios arise.

With a superb reputation for forging innovative insurance solutions for some of the world’s most complex businesses, it’s small wonder why this global broker’s boutique Energy & Power Practice is viewed by many as the market-leader in this fascinating niche.

Whilst many of these clients are domiciled in Europe and the States, as you would expect, the bulk of their operations are (depending on if they are upstream or downstream) in the Middle East or Africa. For example, they could be extracting raw materials in Angola, or refining crude oil in the UAE.

As Account Executive, you will be supported by a dedicated team of high calibre Corporate Account Handlers and Brokers, and be responsible for taking the lead in managing your clients’ insurance arrangements. This includes overseeing renewals and placements, and making sure that the robust, efficient and value for money insurance programme is maintained.

Whilst not essential, this role does present the option to indulge in some, fully-expensed business travel – typically to the Middle East and Africa.

As one would expect, it is essential that you have a solid understanding of the Energy and Power insurance sector. As well as Account Executives, we welcome applications from Account Handlers and Underwriters who can demonstrate the above sector-specific knowledge. You must also have excellent communication skills, and be able to drive engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the globe.
We are particularly keen to receive applications from candidates who can speak those languages commonly found in the Middle East and Africa (such as French, Portuguese and Arabic) but it is worth stressing that this shouldn’t deter monolingual candidates.

This is a hybrid-remote role, where you will ideally be able to make it into this broker’s office in the City several times a week. However, for outstanding candidates based further afield, a much higher degree of flexibility can be offered.

This is an organisation that is well-renowned for career development, and should you wish to progress beyond this position, there are a wide range of routes that you could take.

In return, you will receive a generous basic salary that is entirely negotiable but anticipated to be between £70,000 - £90,000. Alongside a lucrative bonus, you will also receive a highly competitive flexible benefits package that can be tweaked to suit your own circumstances, including a market-leading pension arrangement.
