This independent firm has a presence across Great Britain, but Yorkshire is home to the Head Office of its Credit Insurance Division (with teams being based in various satellite offices the length and breadth of the UK). Due to the continued acquisition of Credit Insurance business, the need has arisen for an additional Account Handler to join the specialist team.
Here, you will play a key role in assisting Credit Insurance Account Executives and Directors in the day-to-day management of their client portfolios. These will comprise clients from a variety of sectors, (both blue and white collar), and range from SME’s through to multi-million-pound turnover companies with complex supply chains across the country.
Duties will include:
- Dealing with credit limit enquiries, as well as any other ad hoc questions about policy coverage the clients may have.
- Liaising with insurers in regards to credit limit applications, both by phone and various online systems.
- Negotiating with Underwriters to secure clients the most comprehensive levels of cover at competitive premiums.
- Dealing with a variety of stakeholders, such as chasing insurers for renewal terms and new business indications.
- Undertaking a variety of policy administration, such as creating management information, taking notification of claims, preparing reports and imputing information on to spreadsheets.
We welcome applications from experienced insurance professionals, as well as those from complementary areas of the professions who understand Credit Insurance, such as those from factoring, invoice discounting or credit control backgrounds. It’s essential that you are well-organised, with strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and that you have the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
