What makes this role particularly exciting is that you will be handling the Managing Director’s personal portfolio of accounts, which means you will enjoy a high profile within the business, as well as the chance to handle some interesting accounts.
This is an extremely varied portfolio that comprises both heavier liability led risks, like those clients from within the Waste and Manufacturing sectors, through to more professional cases, such as Solicitors and Financial Institutions. Individual cases range from those clients who generate £5K commission, to more complex accounts earning 6 figure brokerage.
As well as playing a prominent role within the internal broking department, you will accompany the MD to visit clients on site, to help compile accurate reports and presentations. You will also be heavily involved in the renewal processes, making the larger mid-term amendments and dealing with any problems or queries that may arise from time to time
As a senior member of the team, you will be involved in the training and mentoring of less experienced colleagues but may also be called upon to lend your experience to the wider Commercial Department, on an ad-hoc basis.
It is essential that you have extensive previous experience within commercial broking, including a sound working knowledge of all common commercial lines including Property, Liability, Fleet and Commercial Motor.
As our client is a Chartered Broker, we particularly welcome applications from those candidates who have made progress towards professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute, or can demonstrate a willingness to do so.
