Of all the globals in Leeds, this brokerage is one of the longest established in the region and now controls the largest branch-wide portfolio in the city. Its client list is the envy of many competing brokers, comprising numerous six figure income cases, including blue chip household names.

The Leeds office controls clients from a wide range of industry sectors, and doesn’t tend to focus on those clients who generate less than £25K fee income, with the majority paying well in excess of this. Many of its clients have extensive global exposures, including both UK domiciled and reverse flow.

This role has come about as part of an exciting restructure following an internal promotion, evidence of this firm’s culture of promoting from within. You will join the team in a senior capacity and assume control of a predefined allocation of corporate clients, however, there is some scope to tweak the exact make-up of your portfolio depending on your skills, experience and ambitions.

It is important to stress that the focus on this position is very much about the management of the existing portfolio, with any growth being organic and driven through cross-selling ancillary services. That said, whilst you will not be burdened with business development targets, should you wish to transact any new business or transfer old accounts post-covenant, then you will of course be allowed to do so and handsomely rewarded for your endeavours.

You will be aided by the support of a dedicated Corporate Account Handler who will help prepare renewal reports and the like, and also transact the majority of the more basic mid-term amendments and general policy administration.

It is anticipated that you will be ACII qualified and have previously dealt with £20K+ income cases (including some global business). However, we do welcome applications from outstanding candidates who have made some progress towards professional qualifications, or can demonstrate a genuine desire to do so, who have also dealt with some more complex risks. As one would expect, it is essential that you have a sound understanding of all common commercial covers.
