One of the Channel Island’s most respected broking houses seeks an experienced Account Executive to join its team in a senior capacity.
This long-standing firm has traded for several generations, and during this tenure it has built a fine reputation within the Channel Islands’ communities, and continues to look after some of its most coveted HNW and business accounts.
As Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will assume control of a mixed portfolio of clients that delivers total commission income of circa £300K. The exact makeup of the portfolio can be tweaked to suit your skills, ambitions and experience, but is likely to include both commercial and corporate clients. Accounts could be from a wide range of industry sectors (both blue and white collar), from Construction and Contractors through to Financial Institutions and Trusts. Whilst the vast majority of clients are domiciled in the Channel Islands, their programmes may include risks in both mainland UK and across the globe.
As a senior member of the company, you will sit on the management team and have a real say in the direction of the business and, accordingly, hold a high profile within the firm. Depending on your previous management experience, your additional duties could include formal management of other Account Executives, or simply just acting as a technical referral point to less experienced colleagues.
It is worth stressing that this role is very much geared towards the servicing of the existing account, although you will be encouraged to leverage your profile in the local business community to win new accounts. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have innovative ideas on how to secure new business from the Chanel Island’s Financial Institution and Trusts Sector.
It is essential that you have a sound understanding of all common commercial covers, including Property, Liability and Fleet, etc. It is anticipated that you have made significant progress towards professional qualifications under the CII, but we do welcome applications from outstanding candidates who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to commencing studies.
Alongside a generous and completely negotiable salary (anticipated to be £55K - £60K) you will receive a generous befits package including a lucrative commission structure. Further details on the Channel Island’s tax codes can be provided on request.
