Aston Charles is recruiting for a leading global insurer that is looking to hire a Senior Property & Casualty Underwriter in its Manchester office.
Your key responsibilities will be:
• Underwriting and analysing new and renewal business utilising the Underwriting framework.
• Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) in support of business retention and acquisition.
• Supporting the sales culture by being a referral point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seeking renewal and new account opportunities with your clients.
• Qualifying accounts to meet with the organisation's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity.
• Making broker/ customer and on-sight calls with a planned and well-prepared purpose.
• Negotiating Terms & Conditions and closing deals.
• Cross-selling other lines of business to increase product density with the account.
• Proactively engaging in the target account process, managing a qualified list of opportunities.
• Updating required systems with details of broker/ client visits and account status.
• Calculating Target Price accurately by utilising underwriting tools appropriately.
Our client is looking for someone that ideally has an established network of broker relationships across the North West. You will have a proven track record of delivering Property & Casualty new business, and you’ll be confident of your continued success. You will also be comfortable sharing your knowledge and experience with more junior staff members to aide in their development.
