Our client, a highly respected and leading independent Insurance Broker with an established Financial Services division, is looking to bolster its Advice Team with the appointment of an Independent Financial Advisor experienced in dealing with both private and corporate clients.
Being one of the largest Insurance Brokers in the North of England, the firm has developed a strong presence and an enviable reputation in the Yorkshire market. The Financial Services division has enjoyed continued success, particularly benefiting from the established corporate relationships on the insurance side of the business. Following the identification of additional potential income streams and business opportunities, it now requires another IFA to complement its existing team.
The main purpose of the role will be to provide a range of financial planning solutions to both corporate and private clients. Establishing strong internal relationships with colleagues in the Broking and Team, as well as Account Executives, you will liaise with them in order to generate new business opportunities with their clients. Due to the impending changes in relation to Auto Enrolment, combined with the makeup of the existing client bank, there is a huge opportunity that exists in the corporate arena, particularly in the pension’s space. Whilst there is undoubtedly an excellent platform from which to build in terms of business development, Advisers will not be ‘spoon fed’. You must therefore be proactive and have the necessary hunger and determination to convert these opportunities into written business, as well as generating referrals and additional business off your own back.
There is a specialist team of back office staff in place, boasting a broad spectrum of expertise, offering support in terms of administration, paraplanning, I.T., and compliance. Your time will therefore predominantly be spent client facing and actually providing advice, rather than completing paperwork. Our client requires its Advisers to be Diploma qualified, with a desire to develop further and achieve additional qualifications. Any transferable clients would add significant weight to your application, though this is by no means essential.
In return, you will enjoy an attractive basic salary, as well as a competitive commission structure that rewards you based upon income generation. You will also receive a comprehensive range of additional benefits including car allowance, health cash plan, group life cover and pension.
