Well-respected provincial insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to strengthen its existing team in North Leeds.
This independent firm continues to expand by way of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. It boasts a prestigious client base throughout the UK, and has a reputation for its high quality, traditional approach to insurance and risk management.
Working within an established Claims Team, you will deal with your own allocation of commercial claims. Whilst there isn’t any delegated authority, you will still be ‘hands on’ throughout the lifecycle of a claim. Typically, you will take first notification of loss details, validating the claims and dealing with any enquiries from insurers and clients. In addition, you will liaise with third parties, insurers, suppliers and all other relevant third-party contacts. You will then use your negotiation skills to defend and secure an early and accurate settlement. As this broker deals with a number of high profile clients, it is imperative that you build effective relationships which will see this role naturally develop into that of a Claims Executive, being client facing.
It is imperative that you have extensive technical claims knowledge, encompassing all common commercial lines. Progress made towards the ACII qualification, whilst not essential, would certainly be advantageous.
