The branch portfolio includes household name clients, the largest of which generate close to £500K brokerage income. Its clients span a wide range of industry sectors, and many have extensive global exposures, including both UK domiciled and reverse flow. As a rule of thumb, it doesn’t transact accounts generating less than £20K fee income.
Working in a close-knit team comprising Broking Manager, Account Executive/ Director and Claims Handler, you will play an active part in the day to day management of corporate accounts, including making mid-term amendments and dealing with any queries. You will also scrutinise clients’ businesses, identifying gaps in cover and, where appropriate, making suitable recommendations in order to achieve a more robust insurance programme. You will present your findings to colleagues, write reports and negotiate terms with insurers.
It is essential that you have a detailed knowledge of all common commercial covers, and ideally exposure to handling some corporate accounts. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have handled some multinational accounts and those who have made progress towards professional qualifications under the CII.
