Recognising that the ability to get claims paid fairly and expediently is truly the litmus test of any brokers’ offering, this firm takes its claims proposition very seriously.

This broker has a well-deserved reputation for providing a comprehensive broking, health & safety and risk management service to its diverse client base. Whilst very much a ‘general practitioner’ brokerage, with mid-market and corporate accounts in almost every conceivable sector, both blue and white collar, it does run a number of industry specific lucrative schemes.

Its Claims Team comprises some of the most qualified and talented insurance professionals in the region, who are deeply committed to achieving the best possible outcome on behalf of their commercial and corporate clientele.

You will be advising on the full suite of commercial losses, including Property, Casualty, Motor, and Financial Lines cases. You will deal with the most complex cases arising within the portfolio, working out BI loss values, negotiating with insurers and adjuster personnel and, where necessary, seeking interim payments. As you would expect, you will be writing comprehensive reports and documentation (regarding, for example, insurer SLA performance, or detailing new claims reporting & handling processes for clients) and presenting these to key stakeholders. This dynamic brokerage is quite happy to tweak the finer points of the vacancy to suit the skills, experience and ambitions of outstanding candidates.

Whilst we are keen to speak to those who have previously worked in a loss adjusting environment, we also welcome applications from those who have worked in Claims Manager or Claims Executive roles within the wider commercial / corporate market. Whilst you will be regularly checking into the West Yorkshire based Head Office (as well as several satellite offices in the region) this is a field-based role so you must be comfortable working in a client-facing capacity. It is essential that you have handled large and complex files across the full suite of commercial losses. It is also imperative that you have excellent communication and negotiation skills, are well-versed in stakeholder management and have gravitas in the market to bring about a satisfactory conclusion to claims. It is envisioned that you hold relevant professional qualifications, but we will certainly consider applications from outstanding candidates who have chosen not to pursue these.
