Our client is a leading global Energy company that is looking for an Insurance Adviser to join its team in the City.
This vast business is looking for someone initially on a 12-month contract to help support the Insurance & Risk Manager, however, the role has the potential to become permanent following/ during the contract period.
In this role, you will ensure that:
• accurate and timely advice is provided in relation to existing policy coverage.
• the business is suitably advised when additional (e.g. 6.5.1) cover is required and placement of cover is arranged with brokers.
• the business is supported with professional insurance advice on tenders in which it participates, and in relation to insurance and indemnity clauses in the relevant contracts.
• the business development, commercial and legal teams are adequately supported with sound and pragmatic technical advice in relation to insurance matters.
• ad hoc support is provided to general insurance queries.
• the Insurance & Risk Manager is assisted with the identification and mitigation of risks emanating from the company’s activities.
To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have experience within Construction risks (not just CAR, but the Third-Party Liability policies as well). You will be au fait with the associated wordings and contracts for these risks, relating to insurance and indemnity clauses. It is preferred that you currently work as in internal Insurance Manager for a Construction firm, however strong technical candidates within an insurer/ broker will also be considered.
