Our client, a well-known and very well-respected IFA with a national presence, is looking to expand its Technical Support Team with the appointment of an experienced Paraplanner.
With several regional offices throughout the UK, the Group provides financial advice and investment management solutions, through its substantial Adviser Team, to a broad ranging client base. As part of its continued growth strategy, it now requires additional technical support to supplement its existing Team of Paraplanners.
The main purpose of the role is to provide report writing, research and technical support to the Independent Financial Advisers. More specifically, you will be responsible for preparing analysis of existing policies, products and recommendations for client presentation, as well as preparing suitability letters and complex reports in accordance with the agreed client recommendations. Rather than being assigned an individual Paraplanner, IFA’s submit cases centrally to the Head of Paraplanning. The workload is then distributed amongst the Paraplanning unit which works as a team to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
Given that this is a ‘fully fledged’ Paraplanner role that will require you to be heavily involved in the technical side of the advice process, it is preferred that you hold Level 4 Diploma and have experience in a similar role. As well as possessing extensive knowledge of retail investment services and products, you must have a strong understanding of the Financial Services market in general.
