Due to the continued acquisition of quality accounts, it seeks to add additional fire power to its broking unit with this senior hire. Here, you will work in close conjunction with Account Executives and Directors, providing a high level of support on the department’s largest and most prestigious accounts. These will include complex corporate accounts from an array of industry sectors such as Construction, Manufacturing or the Professions, and depending on your experience, individual clients could generate commission / fee income upwards of £50K per annum.
Alongside your account handling duties, as a senior member of team, you will enjoy enhanced responsibilities within the team. For example, you may be asked to undertake management duties during the absence of the Commercial Director, provide ad hoc support to less experienced staff, and run training academies and the like. You will also get invited to be involved in various exciting projects such as working on new insurer initiatives, or becoming a the inhouse ‘product champion’ on a specific cover such as Cyber or D&O. As such, this is a highly visible role and your successes will be apparent to the whole of the Management Team.
It is essential that you have a solid background within commercial insurance, gained from either a broking or underwriting environment. Ideally, you will have held a senior position previously, although our client very much welcomes applications from ambitious insurance professionals who are ready to make that next step forward in their career. It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of all common commercial covers and have previously been involved in larger premium risks. Whilst by no means essential, it is likely that you have made significant progress towards professional qualifications.
