A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within the claims department of this renowned Global Insurer. Working from its first-class office in the heart of the London Market, the firm seeks a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a thirst for knowledge to assist the technical claims team with a variety of tasks.
Your role will focus on three main areas, the first of which will involve the processing and handling of some non-technical and follow claims including various run-off lines too. Ideally, you’ll have gained knowledge and previous experience in Openco and CLASS when processing London Market claims. You’ll also support the claims team in liaison with external TPAs including chasing and uploading claims bordereaux into the main system.
Secondly, you’ll play a key role in the analysis of claims data, both coming from external TPAs and in-house too. With a keen eye for detail and advanced Excel skills, you’ll be able to identify discrepancies, anomalies, significant reserve changes and trends in data sets, and be able to articulate your findings to senior management.
Finally, you’ll play an active part in the production of regular and ad-hoc claims reports, co-ordinating and gathering data from across the team. There will always be additional projects too that focus on process improvements and operational effectiveness within claims, and your desire to immerse and engage yourself in new tasks will be warmly received.

Using your outstanding communication, numeracy and organisation skills, your role will require regular contact, not only with the highly respected technical claims team with whom you’ll be working, but also TPAs, IT, Finance and Internal Audit, and thus there will be opportunities to impress some very influential individuals.
