A first-class Commercial Account Handling opportunity has arisen within one of the region’s most respected independent insurance broking organisations. Built on the traditional values of service excellence and building trusted relationships, it now seeks an experienced commercial insurance professional who shares these common but often overlooked business principles.

Based in Oxford, this insurance broker continues to expand and develop as a result of its commitment to providing the highest level of client service. This is resulting in increased levels of referrals, recommendations and new business wins, thus necessitating the need for an additional Account Handler to provide the same service levels to new clients that their loyal client bank already receives.

As a Commercial Account Handler, you’ll provide a pivotal support role to the Account Executives and will be responsible for the whole broking process including securing renewals, handling mid-term adjustments, providing quotations and dealing with client enquiries from the commercial policy holders. Experience of using the Acturis software would be beneficial although not a necessity for IT literate candidates capable of learning new systems quickly.

You must have previous experience of working within the commercial insurance sector (ideally from a broking background), with good working knowledge of Commercial Combined/ Package covers. In addition, you will have strong organisational skills, the ability to work to strict deadlines, and the skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse client base. The ability to seamlessly integrate into a focused, like-minded team is also essential as the culture here dictates that everyone is prepared to “muck in” where appropriate to meet client expectations and service levels.
