The claims recruitment practice here at Aston Charles is delighted to be engaged by this award winning, chartered insurance broker to help them source a Commercial Claims Specialist for its established claims centre in South London. This is a truly outstanding opportunity for an experienced Commercial Claims professional to join this most highly regarded insurance broker that, refreshingly, places claims at the very forefront of everything it does.
Working within its specialist claims team , you will take full responsibility for your allocation of claims and will manage the claims process from notification to settlement/ closure. You will take active involvement in large and complex losses and will potentially be a comfortable operator in face to face meetings with clients, loss adjusters and insurers. Additionally, you‘ll be confident in the negotiation of contested and repudiated claims, providing strong broking arguments to support ex-gratia payment requests when appropriate. In addition to your technical expertise and negotiation experience, you will be able to demonstrate advanced relationship management skills in order to develop strong relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and other specialists. You’ll also work closely with Account Executives and Directors to ensure that your clients receive the best possible terms and premiums by collating accurate management information on their claims experience, identifying any trends or risk management concerns where appropriate.
At this exciting time in its period of growth and expansion the claims leadership of this chartered broker are happy to consider applications from existing Claims Executives, who are currently undertaking client facing work, and current Commercial Claims Handlers who are looking to take the next step in their claims handling careers. This is more than just a standard broker claims role. You’ll be involved in new business presentations with Account Executives, regular face to face claims reviews with your clients and will play a strong part in the production and analysis of claims data. Additionally as a Senior Claims Handler here there is tangible potential for this role to progress into an Assistant Claims Manager role in the short to medium term.
