This traditional firm, based in Darlington, is looking to bring on an experienced Mortgage Advisor on an employed basis, and since opening its doors over 15 years ago, has built a strong client base and a very successful business built upon repeat business and referrals. As a result of an increased level of enquiries, the company is looking to hire an experienced Mortgage and Protection Adviser.
You’ll enjoy working on mainly Residential mortgages from leads generated by the firm’s client bank and network of accountants. Whilst the business will provide you with leads, you will also be expected to self-generate leads from an early stage, and therefore this is by no means a 100% leads provided role. If you have a client bank that you can bring onboard, this would be hugely advantageous, but by no means essential.
It is essential that you have strong experience as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, ideally from an independent brokerage or estate agency background, but the firm is open to the candidates’ previous experience. Providing that you have the motivation, drive and ‘know-how’ that’s crucial to succeeding in this type of role, and that you’re comfortable in self-generating some leads, then this firm would be interested in starting a conversation. As expected, you must be CeMAP qualified (or equivalent).

It firmly believes in maintaining a good work/ life balance whilst ensuring that your earnings are kept high. This is a very relaxed and friendly team, so if you’re looking for an extremely lively and competitive environment, akin to a ‘sales floor’, then this probably won’t be the right role for you!
You can expect a basic salary in the range of £25K - £35K with a realistic OTE of £50K - £75K. You can also expect to receive full admin and paraplanning support.
