Our client is a globally recognised organisation in the Insurance Broking sector and has a very strong presence throughout the UK. It now seeks additional claims expertise in its South Coast operation that specialises in Property Owners and Real Estate risks.
Exclusively handling buildings and property claims, you’ll take ownership of your allocated portfolio of clients and will quickly build strong working relationships with the key relevant individuals in their business and with their insurers. You’ll be responsible for taking claim notifications, giving your clients initial advice on loss mitigation and claim substantiation. Thereafter, you’ll be in continual contact and negotiation with insurers, loss adjusters and other experts, ensuring that your clients’ claims are progressed fairly and expediently.
It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling, and pride yourself on achieving the best possible settlement on behalf of your clients within the policy terms. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expedient manner. As well as keeping the clients abreast of their claims progress, you will be expected to attend regular claims reviews, provide your expert opinion on the best course of action to resolve claims, and give advice on preventative measures in order to keep your clients’ costs to a minimum. This is anything but the typical ‘post box’ broker claims handling role.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of handling property claims (either domestic or commercial) from within a broking, insurance company, or loss adjusting background.
