A specialist MGA within the Bonds sector is looking to invest in an Underwriting Director to lead a team within Surety & Credit.

This business has enjoyed over 30 years of success in its chosen sector, and following a recent management buyout, is looking to invest and grow into new areas, as well as strengthen its presence in its current market. As such, this firm is offering a very rare and attractive proposition for an ambitious candidate.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will be to develop and establish the business within the Construction Bonds and Credit Insurance sectors – markets that the company has moved into during the past 12 months. You will drive growth through profitable underwriting within the new lines of business, as well as existing lines, where relevant. It will be down to you to ensure that the quality of business being written is managed effectively with you broker panel. Being part of the core Management Team, you will have a say in the direction of the business and its appetite moving forward.

It is essential that you have a strong background with the Construction Bonds and Credit Insurance markets as a successful Underwriter. You will have a proven track record in writing profitable business, as well as evidence of generating business growth. You must also have solid managerial and operational skills in order to lead the team.

Our client is also interested in hearing from teams within this sector that may be interested in a new challenge with an entrepreneurial business.
