An ambitious and entrepreneurial insurance broker is looking for a driven, career-focused commercial insurance professional for an Account Handler/ Executive in Leeds.

Working alongside the Senior Account Executive, you will handle a range of existing commercial clients throughout the policy period and at renewal. There will be some new business enquiries to deal with through quote requests and via your clients’ referrals. Initially, you will be dealing with circa £5K - £30K premium cases across a range of commercial insurances, where you will predominantly be desk-based, dealing with clients over the phone. However, you will also be accompanying the Senior Account Executives on meetings in order to gain exposure to face to face advice, with a view to you eventually going out on your own.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Account Handler who ultimately wishes to become a fully-fledged Account Executive, but without the burden of having to self-generate new business.
It is essential that you have at least a couple of years’ commercial insurance experience from a broking environment, and that you understand the process of placing business with the insurers compliantly. You will be eager to learn and able to ‘soak up’ information relatively quickly, as well as being comfortable with learning on a one-to-one basis. Finally, you will have a passion for building relationships, and confidence in your ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
