Our client is a headline-making, leading UK Insurance Broker, with a strong presence throughout the UK, and an East Anglian claims hub located in the easily accessible town of Colchester. Due to continued expansion and acquisition, it now has opportunities for experienced Casualty Claims Handlers to add value and strengthen its claims service offering.
Joining an existing team of focused Claims Handlers, you will proactively manage a portfolio of Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Product Liability claims .Using the experience gained from previous roles, you will manage these files from first intimation, liaising with the insurers and other appropriate third parties, to expedite the claims process and bring to a successful conclusion.
Throughout the claim lifecycle, you will offer technical advice where required, chase for necessary updates, and ensure clients are given realistic timescales for each step of the process. Whilst training is on offer, it is your responsibility to strive for continuous professional development, keeping abreast of industry changes, market publications and legislation. As the business has continuous growth plans throughout the next few years, this is an excellent time to join the team as the role will offer genuine scope to progress into a Claims Executive role and beyond.
It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling, and pride yourself on achieving the best possible settlement on behalf of your clients within the policy terms. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expeditious manner.
As well as keeping the client abreast of their claims progress, you will be expected to assist with claims reviews, providing your expert opinion on the best course of action to resolve claims, and give advice on preventative measures in order to keep your clients’ costs to a minimum. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a Liability claims environment.
