Due to organic growth fuelled by the acquisition of quality accounts, our client is seeking to appoint a Commercial Account Handler to service the insurance requirements of an existing portfolio of clients. This is a varied role and your duties will include dealing with renewals, new business enquires, mid-term amendments, as well as answering any day to day enquires that may arise.
Our client takes pride in its long-standing relationships with clients, therefore excellent customer service and account management skills are essential. You will also be expected to assist in negotiating with insurers to secure your portfolio of clients the most favourable renewal premiums and cover levels. You will also work closely with senior management, Account Executives and the in-house claims department, so it is imperative that you are an accomplished team player.
Due to the regulated environment and technical nature of this role, it is essential that you have some exposure to commercial insurance, gained in either a broking or underwriting capacity. Progress made towards, or willingness to undertake, professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute would certainly add weight to your application. Although you will gain exposure to all commercial disciplines, we certainly welcome applications from those individuals who may only have previously dealt only with one commercial class such as Property, Liability or Commercial Motor.
