This dynamic and high profile insurance broker has engaged Aston Charles to assist in the appointment of a Senior Commercial Account Handler for its flagship Cambridgeshire office.
Due to the impressive career advancement of the current incumbent, this outstanding broker is seeking a Senior Account Handler who is confident in dealing with all commercial risks from SME up to large commercial.
It is envisioned that alongside the maintenance of your own portfolio of clients, you will also be actively involved in the marketing of new accounts too.
You will be a polished communicator, able to listen to your clients’ needs and explain to them the features and benefits for different covers. Where gaps in cover exist, you must confidently, articulately and in line with the internal TCF framework, point these out alongside the risks associated with such exposure. In addition to this, in order secure your clients the best possible cover, terms and premiums, it is essential that you have excellent negotiation skills.
Although there are no managerial responsibilities, as Senior Account Handler you will be expected to act as a technical referral point regarding complex queries for less-experienced members of the team. As such, it is essential you project a sense of gravitas, authority and maturity.
To ensure a synergy in client service between all departments of the business, you will develop strong relationships with your peers in Business Development, Account Management and Claims. As such, you will share this brokerage’s ‘team player’ ethos.
Although it is by no means essential, we are particularly interested in speaking to those individuals with c10 years’ relevant experience and who ideally demonstrate progress towards CII qualifications.
