Working for a global broking house with offices in the heart of the Leeds financial district, this role will surely appeal to ambitious insurance professionals looking to create a name for themselves in the corporate broking arena. This is a new position in the company, and one that is the brainchild of the Branch Director; one of the most impressive insurance professionals in the market, and someone who will play an active part in your development.

Here, you will work in conjunction with one of the branch’s most senior Account Directors, supporting them on a specific corporate risk. This is a very large, multifaceted and challenging account, with lots of complex exposures across every conceivable line of business. Whilst this UK domiciled account’s insurance programme is managed by this broker’s Leeds office, given its stature and complexity, it utilises all of this global’s resources including input from specialist teams from across the business.

The Branch Director takes a commendably refreshing view when it comes to the suitability of candidates from a range of backgrounds. Whilst someone from a similar broking background is the most obvious natural fit, he also welcomes Lawyers to register an interest and is particularly keen to here from those Assistant / Underwriters who have been on an Insurance Company Graduate Scheme (even if they are just monoline).

It is essential that you have strong academics, are commercially savvy and able to understand the nuances of extremely complicated business. You should be confident and articulate with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and be able to build a sound professional rapport with senior stakeholders.
