This quality-focused firm specialise in both property sales and financial planning, and after experiencing considerable success in these markets for the past 38 years, it’s grown to become one of Scotland’s most popular and long-standing estate agencies. After another profitable year for this firm, a vacancy has become available for a Mortgage and Protection Adviser to join its successful team in Perth.
As an experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisor, you’ll be taking on business that’s provided through the large amount of property sales that this firm handles on a daily basis. It boasts strong teams of Sales Negotiators and 15 Mortgage Brokers in total, all spread across 10 offices in Scotland’s major cities. The business processes 5000 property sales every year, and the Mortgage Brokers process roughly 3000 mortgages on a yearly basis. If we do the math, 3000 mortgages annually amongst 15 advisers, means you can expect to write more than 200 mortgages a year and 16-17 a month on average with this firm – enviable figures!
You’ll be providing advice predominantly face to face, but also over the phone. You’ll be working with very hot leads, and due to the level of enquiries this business receives, there’s no need to self-generate leads or bring onboard a client bank.
You will be working within a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a close-knit team. There’s no “hard sell” here, and no egos, so if you’re looking to work within an aggressive and cut-throat sales environment, then this probably won’t be for you! This firm wants advisers, not salesmen.
It is absolutely essential that you have experience in providing face to face mortgage and protection advice, ideally within an estate agency or independent brokerage environment. Experience within a bank or building society will also be considered, but is not preferred. The firm follows a 9-5:30 working pattern Monday to Friday but you will also be expected 1 in 3 Saturdays, but the good thing is, it’s only half a day and you’ll have half a day off mid-week.
You can expect a basic salary of £30K-£40K with an OTE of £60K - £70K in the first year. Some advisers at this firm are earning £100K+ so the sky really is the limit in terms of earnings. You’ll also have a dedicated Admin and Compliance Team, providing support where necessary.
