An expanding MGA is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to ensure the growth of its business transacted via commercial insurance brokers.
This MGA is performing extremely well as a result of its attractive proposition, comprehensive insurance products, and sophisticated technology. Backed by A rated insurers, the firm is able to offer intermediaries instant quote and buy facilities, as well as being able to white label its products in-line with brokerages’ personalised branding. This organisation offers an extremely efficient and slick service for predominantly Commercial Property / Commercial Combined insurance products.
In this home-based role, you will manage your own diary and promote this MGA’s offering to intermediaries throughout the whole of the UK, where you will identify suitable risks/ portfolio transfer opportunities, and promote relevant products. You’ll also demonstrate the online capabilities of this company’s e-trading platform, and attend appropriate networking events and industry trade shows.
You can be based anywhere in the UK, but it is absolutely essential that you have existing relationships with commercial insurance brokers, and contacts who will give you the necessary ‘airtime’ for you to promote your products and services. It is not essential that you are a technical Underwriter, although you will have a general understanding of commercial insurance products. Perhaps you are a Business Development Executive / Manager for an insurer or insurance software house, or a Development Underwriter looking to step into a BDM role?
It is essential that you have a successful track record of delivering new business with commercial intermediaries and that you have first-class relationship building skills. You must also be well-presented, engaging, and a good negotiator, with the ability to work under pressure in a consultative sales role.
