Opportunities to inherit portfolios of circa £1M in commission and fee income are few and far between, and to do so for one of the most respected corporate practices in the City, even more so.
Our client is true giant in the field of corporate insurance; the world’s largest independent broker and a firm that is famed for its entrepreneurial approach and ability to deliver innovative solutions. Its London office is going from strength to strength, and due to the continued acquisition of quality accounts, seeks an additional Corporate Account Executive to join the team.
Here, you will assume control of a varied portfolio of accounts that typically generate fees of between £50K – £200K per annum. Clients are from a range of industry sectors, including big names from the words of Construction, Distribution, Food & Beverage, Retail and Manufacturing.
You will be responsible for managing relationships with clients, ensuring that all internal stakeholders (Brokers, Claims Handlers etc.) deliver against a variety of service level agreements. You will take charge of clients’ insurance programmes, ensuring that exposures are mitigated in line with their appetite for risks, and opportunities to enhance covers are explored. When policies are altered or renewed, you will be responsible for negotiating with insurers for ensuring that comprehensive cover is achieved at the most competitive premium. Given the global nature of many of the clients within the portfolio (UK domiciled and reverse flow), you will be dealing with specialist colleagues from niche areas of the business (Risk Management, Credit Insurance, Aviation etc.) based both locally and abroad.
It is essential that you have extensive experience in a similar, Corporate Account Executive position. Whilst it’s not essential that you have dealt with six-figure income cases previously, it is expected that you will have dealt with clients generating fees / commission in excess of £50K. Needless to say, you will be au fait with all common commercial covers and have a sound understanding of the insurance requirements of clients from a variety industry sectors. Whilst not essential, it is anticipated that you will be ACII qualified, or be willing to demonstrate a commitment to obtaining this in the medium term. Knowledge of PPL software would certainly add weight to any application.
In return, you will receive a generous basic salary (completely negotiable, but anticipated to be in the region of £70K - £100K) alongside a bonus and an executive-level benefits package
