Based out of its office in Lancashire, this hugely successful brokerage, which operates in a niche mortgage field, has over the last 10 years, successfully arranged billions of pounds of mortgages. It has built up this operation by successfully approaching the industry with a sales-orientated but customer-driven mindset, hiring staff who have genuine belief in themselves and who don’t get deflated at the 1st or 2nd hurdle.
The company, having specialised in its market place for over 10 years, has a large database of existing clients, many referrals, and a constant delivery of new leads every day. You can expect to receive up to 5 leads per day and will convert, on average, 40% of the leads provided. Whilst self-generating leads will not be a huge requirement in this role, the firm would prefer an adviser that’s happy to self-generate some business if needed.
This firm wants someone that understands the psychology of sales, and has a proven track record of writing volume, and new Mortgage business. Moreover, someone who has real personality, which comes across over the phone quickly, and someone who understands that ‘people buy from people’. With that being said, the firm will only consider candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a ‘whole of market’ Mortgage Broker. Candidates with purely mortgage advising experience from a tied environment, such as a bank or building society, will not be considered.
The new Mortgage Adviser will be joining on an employed basis, with a circa £24K basic salary and - provided you put in the hard work and real commitment - a provable OTE from a standing start of £60K+ in the 1st year. The top Mortgage Adviser at this firm took home £130K last year!
This is an office-based role, with hours principally built around a 9-5 working week, but naturally, you’ll be expected to work around your clients. You’ll be pleased to hear that there’s no weekend work commitment at this stage whatsoever!
