This brokerage focuses on accounts generating a minimum of £5K commission, but more commonly, targets those risks generating £10K earnings, and often well in excess of this. The Nottingham branch portfolio includes clients from a wide variety of industry sectors, with a slight bias towards well-run owner-managed businesses from the cleaner end of higher Liability trades.
As Senior / Technical Corporate Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for the placement of new business, re-broking and technical defences. As a senior member of the team, you will work in close conjunction with the Director and have a real say in the future direction of the Branch. For example, you will be involved in a number of exciting projects such as helping manage relationships with insurers, designing the branch placement strategy, and helping to create business plans moving forward.
It is essential that you are an experienced broker, with a demonstrable track record of placing clients from a variety of industry sectors, and a knowledge of all common commercial covers. You must have experience of dealing with clients that generate commission and fee income in excess of £5K. As you would expect, you must also have well-honed negotiation skills, be well connected with within the insurance community, and know which insurance companies have appetites for specific risks.
