Here, you will be handling a portfolio of SME clients, dealing with cases paying fees of up to £5K across a range of insurance products including Motor Trade, Property Owners and PI, from new business placement through to renewal. Interestingly, you’ll also get involved in emerging risks such as Cyber and Environmental Impairment. Duties will include dealing with general enquiries, negotiating with Underwriters and clients to secure comprehensive cover at acceptable rates, as well as taking responsibility for the overall strengthening of relationships.
Setting our client aside from the rest of the local, Leeds SME market, you’ll also be exposed to and have the opportunity to handle a small amount of larger Commercial/Corporate risks, thus equipping you with additional technical expertise and the tools to take the next career step, when appropriate.
It is essential that you have previous experience from within a commercial insurance environment, encompassing wide-ranging technical product knowledge. Ideally, this will be from a broking perspective, but motivated, client-focused Underwriting Assistants are also welcome to apply. Importantly, you must be passionate about delivering a consistent, first-class service, with a genuine commitment to retaining your valued client portfolio, as well as continually developing your own technical ability. If you’re an experienced user of Acturis, that would also be most advantageous.
