For ambitious insurance professionals at the start of their insurance career, there can be few better places to forge a fantastic career than this global broker where you can learn the ropes from some of the most talented Brokers in the region.

Not only has this firm won the prestigious ‘most ethical insurance broker in the world’ award for 10 consecutive years, its West Malling operation has a fine reputation locally for taking the progression and development of its staff very seriously. Indeed, many of the team have joined in a similar, more junior capacity, and have risen through the ranks into more senior, managerial, technical or client-facing roles.

Depending on your experience, you could help the smooth running of the Corporate Team in any number of capacities. For experienced Account Handlers, this could be helping Account Executives with renewals and mid-term amendments or negotiating terms with Underwriters, but for those with more limited experience, it could be more basic policy administration and helping to answer day to day questions, whilst you build up your knowledge of more complex insurance programmes.

We are keen to hear from Brokers, Underwriters and Support personnel from both Personal Lines and Commercial backgrounds. You must demonstrate a willingness to learn ‘on the job’ and an enthusiasm to develop a detailed understanding of a variety of insurance covers such as Property, Liability, PI, D&O and Fleet. As this department tends to deal with corporate cases generating commission and fees in excess of £5,000 (and often many multiples of this), you must be a confident communicator who is comfortable building a professional rapport with sophisticated insurance buyers from all walks of life. You must also be well-organised, with a keen eye for detail and excellent task-management skills.

This role is hybrid / remote, and most of the team chose to be in the office 3 days per week. You will receive a generous basic salary and an impressive flexible-benefits package that can be tweaked to suit your personal circumstances. You will also receive, if desired, support towards professional qualifications under the Chartered Insurance Institute.
