We have been asked to let our followers know that Link, the LGBT Insurance Network, is holding several networking events in Leeds in the coming weeks.
The first event will focus on Bisexuality Visibility in the Workplace and will be hosted by Deloitte on Thursday 29th September. Stonewall research shows that Bisexual people are half as likely to be ‘out’ at work as their gay and lesbian colleagues, and less than 1 in 10% of LGBT employees feel there are visible bisexual role models in their organisation. In this event, Josh Willacy from Stonewall will share information about the work they are doing to increase Bi visibility, and we’ll hear from Bisexual Role Models from across Professional Services. Registration will open at 17:30, with talks beginning promptly at 18:00. This event is kindly hosted by Deloitte at their office, 1 City Square, Leeds LS1 2AL. Please go to the 10th floor to the Deloitte main reception where you will be directed to the seminar room. September 29th - register now.
There is also Link Up North’s October Networking Drinks event to be held at Aon’s Leeds office, to celebrate the launch of the Aon’s Allies initiative. Aon plc is committed to creating a winning and inclusive culture with growth and development opportunities for everyone. Aon’s website states, “Diversity is the foundation on which we have built our world-class organisation, unparalleled in delivering distinctive value to clients in insurance brokerage, risk management and human capital consulting services.” This is a great opportunity to find out more about Aon’s Allies as well as our usual networking. All Link Up North members are welcome to attend, but please register in advance.
